Windows Embedded (now Windows 10 IoT) is a family of Microsoft operating systems designed for use in embedded systems. The Windows Embedded site needed to be revised and updated to facilitate easy access to the information about the Windows Embedded products and to connect customers with service providers.
The new website had to present a wealth of information clearly and effectively. The user experience and interface design had to meet the needs of diverse audiences, covey the Microsoft Windows latest brand experience, and enhance the trusted reputation of the Windows Embedded Systems.
I was a UX designer and lead visual designer. I worked with a project manager, a product director, a UX researcher, two production designers, a copywriter, and an external engineering agency.
My task was to organize the site IA, design features and functionality based on the site goals and requirements, and produce detailed UX specs and visual assets.
